10 minutes west of Numurkah, towards Nathalia, is the tiny village of Waaia.  Surrounded by irrigated farmland, Waaia boasts its own Hotel, Football, Netball, Cricket and Tennis Club facilities and a Public Hall and is just a short bus ride to all schools at Numurkah, Nathalia and Shepparton if required.
